First sewing machine

Newbie to the forum and sewing. A few weeks ago I dug out my grandmothers old Singer Fashion Mate 257, did some googling and started learning to sew. While working on my fourth simple envelope pillowcase the one nylon gear in the top of it disintegrated. I started looking around on Facebook Marketplace. I didn't have much money to spend on a machine and have always been fascinated by the older machines anyway. I found a New Home model 446 in a cabinet that was covered in dust and looked to have sat for quite a while. I went to look at it and bought it. When I got it home I found and downloaded a manual for it. I cleaned all the dust off and out, oiled everything with SMO and here it is.
