test for uploading and avatar. this was a leader ender idea early this summer, I finished the top a few weeks ago.
to upload the photo I had to widen the popup box to find the Upload button, way right.
edited to add: no avatar. if I still have the image I'll do that via my profile as noted above.
edited to add: think it's fixed and even added a selfie
I think forums are changing because so many only use phones now.
