If you’re just wanting to half your 2 1/2” strips, they’ll end up 1 1/4” wide unfinished, 3/4” finished. That seems pretty narrow. If you don’t have plenty of fabric now, you may run short. Just let it stew in your thinker before you cut. Maybe put some scrap strips together just to get an idea what the narrower strips will look like. Good luck!
