It's water soluble, so all you would have to do is wash the baby quilt before using it or giving it away.

Sulky has a new environmentally-friendly non-toxic basting spray. You will find it by Googling.

All basting sprays should be used in well-ventilated areas. Non-toxic or not, you do not want to be breathing in the spray!

Oh, and you never want to use any sprays inside the house if you have pet birds. Not sure what it is that's bad for them, but you have to research thoroughly before using stuff around birds. Wasn't it Febreze that was so toxic for them?
