First and most important, enjoy the process and have fun. I have made several jelly roll rugs and I use the same pattern as you. As mentioned prior, lots of ironing, with lots of steam, be sure to use your extension table on your machine, as the pattern mentions, you want this to remain flat as your sewing it.
