I have now made the "same" quilt 3 times! ....My sister in law's sister (no relation to me) is having a baby so I decided to make her a quilt. Baby quilts! They're quick! They're easy...!! So with no guidance other than "she likes purple" I decide to raid stash and try "Hidden Wells" from Theresa Down Under https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XHugZLa2UE. She made it look so easy...Then I spot Bonnie Hunter's "Daybreak" pattern https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFBOYKNY2bc - I've made four blocks and they look fine....but it's not really baby. I 've cut up the last of my purples into strips and made a Jelly Roll Race. I'm not in love, but at least I'm not embarrassed. It needs a border of some kind to bookend and frame We'll see what I have in stash to make into a backing.
