Just about any block can be changed just by fabric to become a baby quilt. I would start by looking through the various quilt blocks available via this site:
http://www.quilterscache.com/QuiltBlocksGalore.html . You can sort them by difficulty level. There are so many blocks and instructions that are easy to follow it may be hard to choose. The easiest block that I have used is the
Rail Fence block. Use bright baby colors to make your blocks. Your daughter will appreciate all of your efforts.
