if these are homeless people, this quilt will be dragged around, bundled up, stolen,
and finally if anything is left of it, sold. the money can be used where it would do the most good for the most people. homeless people need food and shelter and a blanket that goes in the washer keeps them just as warm. when you donate, you're giving away, it doesn't belong to you anymore. what the recipient does with it isn't up to you. i think something in your belly is more valuable than "handmade", especially if that someone is a child.
