Thank you all for the complements. I actually love designing my quilt tops and I enjoyed working on this quilt minus the machine problems and a few other situations that got in the way of working on the quilt. To b.zang I used a lightweight iron on interfacing. In fact I just ordered more on line at Joann Fabrics. Iron it to the back of the t-shirt before you cut out your block. Also if the blks are different sizes, it great to have a design wall to put up and arrange and size the blocks. Mine is covered rigid insulation board from lowes. I also finished the mouth on the little bear, she didn't look right without it.
