Welcome! Not familiar with that specific model. Is it electronic or all mechanical? I'm going to guess at least some electronics?? My electronic Viking normally does that when I turn it on all the time. It's just how the machine works. As to winding your bobbin with the needle threaded, my suggestion would be to place your thread under the presser foot prior to putting through the bobbin winding guides. I do this all the time with my machine. It takes the tension off the needle.
