Welcome to the QB from SE Michigan! Have you tried oiling the various areas of the machine? As well as the underside of the machine. The machine has been sitting a very long time and not only dust and lint can grow but the parts can grind against each other. If this fails, considering everything you have tried already, I would consider taking it in for service. Be sure to tell the tech everything you have tried.
