Default When Mother Nature...........

sends you some "poor mans fertilizer", you make quilts. I know it's late April, I know everyone is over winter and wanting warm sunny days, but I could not help but see the beauty Wednesday on my way to work. The picture is taken at the end of my driveway, and that blue sky contrasting with the snowy trees was just beautiful.
So while it's still cold and miserable outside, I have worked on two quilt tops, the pattern is Strip Stacks by GE Designs. It suggest using a stripology ruler, which I did not have, and I did not exactly follow the directions. All my cuts were according to the directions, but instead of cutting strips and subcutting the rectangles then sewing them together individually, I chose to make strip sets and subcut them according to the pattern recommended width of the individual rectangles. It went so much quicker this way, which is why I have been able to get two tops done this week. I'm thinking about venturing out tomorrow for basting glue spray at Dollar General. I have only been to the grocery store and gas station for the past 5 weeks, and work, so we'll see.
