Indeed, it is a 115. Thank you for the pictures.

It looks like you may not have read all the digits (G 2728288). According to http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...l-numbers.html
G- 2727501 2729500 115 2000 January 6 1913
While there have been mistakes in the serial number lists, the majority of mistakes are not getting all the digits. Also, "G" serial numbers actually started over with a "0" in front and it covered 14 years.
