I do hope that the quilt can be found. A couple years ago I was cleaning kitchen cupboards and started a box of items I no longer used to take to Goodwill. I accidentally added a Tupperware or Rubbermaid food storage container that I'd planned to keep. I realized my mistake the day after I dropped the box off and went back to the store to get it. I was even willing to buy it back. I didn't find it on the shelves so I asked a clerk about it. She said if it isn't on the shelf, then they no longer have it. She said they get so many of these kind of items that they only put out the unusual ones and the rest go to the recycling bin. I wonder how many other types of goods they do that with. I no longer donate to Goodwill. There are other thrift shops that happily take my donations and put them out on the shelves whether they have 1 or 15 of the same item.
