on you Gammill, the little loops on the bottom may be caused by the need for a new bobbin backlash "spring" (the little metal thingy in the bobbin--and remember that the Gammill bobbins use a different backlash spring from the Towa bobbins). I've also been told that it may be caused by the check spring having lost it's springiness--so change out that too. My tech had told me that if you quilt pretty often, the check spring needs to be changed about every 12-18months.
good advice.....on my APQS Lucey, I have purchased two extra bobbin cases as I like to set one for So Fine, and one for Bottom Line so I don't have to change the tensions on them....and now I remember one time I was having problems with lopping on the bottom so I just put in one of the other bobbin cases....problem solved and when I look further....yep the spring in the bottom of the bobbin case had just flattened out....
