The dedication on the stem looks printed but it is actually embroidered. At first I used a script fancy font in purple thread but it looked too Victorian and the quilt has more of a contemporary modern look so I opted to redo w a close to a typewriter font in black thread.

the way I did it is cut (on the bias”) a 3” wide strip of fabric, placed stabilizer on the hoop and floated the strip to embroider it in 2 continues parts till I fit in the text.
I then trimmed it to the width of the stem w text centered and placed a wonder under 1/4” strip to help temporarily placing it. The bias cut allowed it to easily curve the stem.
