When I've attempted all white or off white quilts, the seam allowances show through to the front of the block. Is there any way to prevent this? It almost looks like 1/4 inch stripes on all the seams. TIA
I use snow white batting when I encounter this. Some fabric white is rather thin so when I purchase white I always go for the fabric that is "heavier" (That is a relative term - lol).
Also in mixed color quilts if I have a dark fabric I try to press to the dark side or if that will not work out I carefully trim the dark fabric so that it is not visible through the white.
