My math tells me that without adding fabric you will have a little lass than 1 sq yard of fabric taking into account the seam allowance on each piece . 2.75" X 4.5". X100 is aprox 1237 - a sq yard is 36 X 36 = 1296. I might be tempted to do holiday placemats, a table topper/ runner or a wall hanging with them.

rvdfan's suggestion of stacking coins would work nicely with any of those suggestions. If you put in coin quilts in pinterest you get lots of possibilities. Some links no longer work but it may give you some inspiration.I found one that might be promising - You could group 3 or 4 of the strips together and add sashing and pieces of a focus fabric and come up with a cute quilt something like this
