Pale yellow always sparks my fancy. There has been pale peach, light blue, beige, dark navy, black and light pink backgrounds of my quilts. The whites are in there somewhere too with the scrap quilt tops.
I have been drawn to the light grey recently and I am thinking of buying some for a quilt in my mind.
Honestly, I don't think there is a wrong color if it works for the quilt.
