More things to consider. EQ6 is not compatible with Windows 10. And the licensing rules for 6 were different. As I understand it, you will need to be able to show that you have a license for 6 before you can upgrade to 8. That shouldn't be a problem if your EQ6 was not previously opened. Rob is right that you should talk to EQ Support before deciding what to do.
