I say make those baby quilts, if the family doesn’t need them, someone will. My third child was born after my mother in law passed away. She was an avid knitter, and a friend offered us a baby blanket my mother in law had made for “someone” (she was nurse, and made many baby things for her younger coworkers). We were thrilled, as she had made baby things for my older two children, and he had a connection with a nana he never had the privilege to know.
