Thanks Janey for the posts about the 1914. I wanted it mainly for the cams that allow for different designs. I use my Singer 301 for piecing. I will look into another machine as I wouldn't be able to line up the designs properly with a left leaning needle. I am looking for a reliable mechanical sewing machine. I have over $21,000 tied up in 3 electronic sewing machines and not one of them is working. I can still buy parts and accessories for my 301 but Janome only carries parts for 20 years and then you're out of luck.
