Did just this for my sons when they were single, Stonehenge had a tree panel and you added battery operated lights to it. Pattern had a pocket in back for the battery pack. Both are married but their wives still put up in staircase or hallway. Long ago when macrame was the big thing I made my mom a hanging tree that she put up for years with all her favorite ornaments.
