Default Pat’s quilt #1 - Hexies

Our church secretary is very ill and her sister asked me to finish two quilts that she had started for her children. She had them made and sandwiched, and had started hand quilting them. You can see her quilting in one of the pics. I was trying to rush them because I wanted her to see them finished. I think there must have been a lot of bias stretch In the hexies, because I got a lot of fullness on the ends, especially on the purple and stripes block. I used a wide binding hoping to cover most of the problems. I won’t have time to try and take anything apart and redo it, but suggestions for managing this situation in the future are welcome.
