Has anyone used one of these? I found one at a thrift shop - looks great and has a good gasket. I'm anxious to try it but need a boost of confidence! Please share your experience. I am not a quilter. I only signed on to say I paid $8.00 for my Wear-Ever Chicken Bucket used.
They are discontinued for fear of product liability. The Sealing Gasket Ring is also discontinued.
I have found the Presto 09908 pressure cooker seal to be nearly identical to the discontinued Wear-Ever 990024-3-8-1 chicken bucket seal.
The only difference I have noticed is that the Presto is slightly thinner and more flexible.
I do not know about the heat rating.
Of course Presto states that their seals are designed Only for their pressure cookers.
