It changes the pressure on the presser foot for different fabrics or layers of them.
3. There seems to be a screw hole on the back side of the machine (near the presser foot lever) that doesn't have a screw in it. It doesn't look like an oiling hole either. Do you guys know what it's for? Am I just missing a screw?

okay, so do I change the pressure on the presser foot often? got any tips for how to know when to adjust and how much?
also, there is a screw in that hole there, I just didn't see it yesterday.
