First coffee break of the day. I'm almost done with the comfort blocks for one of my Tuesday group members. We have 3 ladies with husbands in end of life stages, it was time to get this project going...

I was given two blocks that had been incorrectly assembled, got those apart yesterday. I had one block almost done but I hadn't checked the directions and cut some of the pieces too big and so I was about an inch short for one last piece -- but I knew we still had yardage at our hostess. We laid out the blocks we had and it was decided to make a couple more blenders, so I was given more of the consistent yardage and have one brand new one cut this morning. All blocks are now at the same stage and I have two more seams each and then done.

I'm over achieving, the original goal was 4 blocks from each person, but the organizer decided we needed more for a better size/rectangle so this will be a total of 10 original, plus the 2 rework. Still have multiple hours before 10:00 am and needed a break so here I am. The organizer will be prewashing and then cutting sashing and borders and wants to get the top together before Tuesday but it all depends on everyone getting their blocks in.
