I bought one of the ball chairs and it doesn't do much for me, honestly. I have friends who have paddle boards and they say it really gives you a workout, you find out you have muscles you didn't know about.
Did the person who said you need to strengthen your core muscles tell you how you should strengthen them? I think any professional health care provider will give you a list of some exercises, at the very least.
