I don't often buy a pattern and if I do, I always want to see the quilt actually made...not just a graphic of the quilt. I want to know that someone made this quilt, not that they just *think* you can make this quilt.

One of the reasons I don't buy patterns often is because I have trouble reading directions. Any directions. I have to read them 6 times and make 2 mistakes before I figure out what they mean. Most patterns I make I am sure they come with video's because I am a visual learner and can follow that after watching it 5 or 6 times. The last handbag I made is a good example. They had 5 45 minute videos on how to make it and I'll bet I watched them each 3 times or at least pieces of them.

So...if I like a pattern, but I can't figure it out? I just do it whatever way I can, even if it doesn't quite turn out like the picture. I've also e-mailed the pattern maker and asked them what they mean by XYZ and gotten really nice answers back.
