It's interesting to me how sometimes one can see the shapes formed by the background of a design and sometimes see the shapes of the foreground parts. When I see the thumbnail version of your quilt, my mind focuses on the shapes formed by the colored pieces, especially how they form angular version of curves on the diagonals. When I look at the larger version of your quilt (by clicking on the thumbnail), I can see the shapes formed by the white much more easily. Now that you mention the martini glass interpretation of them, I can really see them and am quite amused by it!

Like other posters, I am not wild about a lot of modern quilts, but I really like yours. It is charming, interesting and very attractive. Well done!
