Hey, I got it out! I sprayed WD-40 on it and let it soak overnight. Then I grabbed the spool pin with Vise-grips and used a thin piece of wood on the bed to pry against. It came out a smidge, then I repositioned the Vise-grips lower down on the pin and pried again, and so on.

Then I did the same on one of the upper spool pins (also broken) without using WD-40 and that worked too. Fyi.
