Example:

Original price: $100

35% off of $100 = (1.00 - .35) * 100 = $65.00

35% off of $65.00 = (1.00 - .35) * $65 = $42.25

Not: $100 *(1.00 - (.35 + .35)) = $30.00


I save the the $35 off the original price with first reduction and then save the savings of 35% off the extra reduction price. In the example, would have saved $57.75 from original price. That's how I figure the savings on % off clearance.
