HL is, generally speaking, not giving you 25/30% off the reduced price. An example is that the 40% off coupon does not apply to previously reduced merchandise. So, at least a while back, it did not make sense to buy their remnants or clearance fabric. They were not reduced by the standard, every day, 25/30% off nor could you use the 40% off coupon. Nor could you use the 40% off coupon on the every day price of 25/30% off. If you used the 40% off coupon on one cut of fabric, it was off the "regular" price, not the (in reality) every day price. So it was roughly 10% off.
