You will do just fine. Get it ripped out and once you are on your way you will have a beautiful quilt assembled. I have made 2 tumblers with different size blocks. Both are scrappy quilts. I put a white block at the end of each row and then cut the last row in half for a white border piece around the edge. I saved those pieces to be used on the next tumbler I find myself making. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
