I use it instead of starch or sprays most times. It only takes a little. I use a teflon pressing sheet so no build up on the iron. I bought a gallon of it about two years ago and still using from it. For crafters they saturate the fabric to get ridgid results. I spray a light spay and then press as usual. My piecing is much better with stiff fabric.
