I've never had one but one time I had a really bad headache. I went to lie on the sofa and my cat jumped up on me right where the headache was (the back of my neck area) and glued herself to me. I've never forgotten that. It was like she knew.
They're still not 100% but I believe I did have a stroke because the recovery was long. The days afterward I had extreme, extreme weakness, I still couldn't formulate my sentences or words, and I was still dealing with the left side of my face drooping.
Cats are incredible healers, I don't think a lot of people believe that because they can be so stuck-up, lol. For almost eighteen years, I had a Snowshoe Siamese that I named Puddin' that was my migraine buddy, the minute I came back from the hospital, she was on me and wouldn't leave until I was better. Puddin' was a snuggler but not
that big of a snuggler, she preferred I had a lap full of yarn or a warm blanket but if mom wasn't feeling good, she was right there through it all. I actually lost her three weeks before my stroke, to a series of strokes no less, so I was looking at going through all of that without the help of my little nurse kitty. I had her son, but he was never in-tune with me like she was.
