They look so different on the different backgrounds. I have some contrast issues with either choice, with light grays/golds on the light and dark grays/golds on the dark.
Have any of you ever seen a half black, half white quilt? Maybe I should try that, LOL.
The difference is surprising! I think there are less contrast issues on the darker background and I think the darker background shows off the various patterns in your golds and grays better.
