It's a type of popcorn that has been sold ever since tins of popcorn has. Some will say extra large or Mushroom. It's not in microwave packages, I guess because the package would have to be triple in size. I use a Stir Crazy, one of the first ones. It is old. My grandmother had it. I can pop up to 2 gallons of popped corn in one batch with no burning and very few unpopped kernels.
