Apple kvass is good too. I want to make the old fashioned kind but all the russian delis around here are closed so I can't get the bread.
I guess I could order from the online deli. I wish the stuff would take off here. My daughter and I used to go to the russian deli and buy kvass and some little chocolate covered wafers with a squirrel on the box. Tasty stuff.
