Since most of the quilts I have made were for other people's homes, I have used thier likes and dislikes to guide me in my choices for them. But, when I think about it, I love the old southern style quilts. Bright, happy and lively pieced designs with a pattern that has a secondary design that emerges when you set it all together. The fabrics and design are important to me. I want there to be interest from far away and from up close while sitting under it. I really feel that quilts should spark a certain amount of the imagination to invoke some thought. Knowing all of this information, I am sure most of my quilts do not reflect on my personal style except perhaps what I percieve to be thier style and comfort zones.
