I have made many T-shirt, Jersey and memory- clothing quilts. I use regular cotton fabric ( same as I use in most of my quilts) for sashing, borders, blocks. The quilts have all turned out great- no issues with different weights.
this hockey Jersey quilt is sashed, put together with a burgundy cotton fabric.
