I'm making a quilt for my son out of batik fabrics. He picked out the pattern the last time he was in town. I was showing him pictures of some of the quilts here on the board and this was his second choice. His first choice was all curved pieces and I'm not ready to tackle that any time soon. These squares are not sewn together yet but I laid some out on the bed to see how it would look. I'm only about halfway finished making the blocks - the finished size will be about 72 x 54. Each block finishes at 6-inches.

I got hold of a salesman's samples of batiks that he was getting rid of so I have the whole rainbow of colors, but chose some of the more muted ones to make it more masculine looking. I threw in the blues for a pop of color.
