I participated in a block of the month quilt-along last year with Aby Dolinger (
http://abyquilts.blogspot.com). She offered patterns for a 12" block and a similar 6" block each month, hence the name "Sisters." I used a print with words on it to tie the scrappy blocks together, and named my throw "Encouraging Words." I quilted each rectangular section in a grid using my home machine.
