Help
I'm putting together a quilt which has large machine applique heads of elk, bear, moose, and wolf. (Big Fork Bay Cotton Company patterns)

In the center I want to have a Flying Bald Eagle - both wings fully extended. this would require a pattern which is rectangle shaped.

I can be machine applique or paper pieced. I do them both.

The shorter side of the rectangle should be somewhere around 10 inches - I can reduce or blow it up as needed. if my math is correct, the longer side should be approx. 30 inches - I think the rule is rectangles long side = 3x the short side??

Any body seen a pattern like this?
