Actually, high CRI is what gives you true colors, not color temperature (soft/daylight/bright).

CRI is the Color Rendering Index and you want higher than 90.

A soft white (3000-3500K) high CRI bulb with show colors more true than a standard CRI (which is around 80) daylight (5000K) bulb.
