I spent a couple of hours yesterday and a couple of hours today trying to make a single block for a sampler quilt. If I had turned off "rounding" (to nearest 8th or 16th") in EQ, and used a full ¼" seam allowance instead of the scant ¼", I might have gotten the 8½" block I needed instead of the 9" block which I didn't want.

I was not going to frog all 25 blocks to redo, so I thought I'd try paper piecing.

All those HSTs - I don't even know how the paper strips were still holding together after all the unsewing I did on those five strips. Ughhhhh! I don't paper piece often enough to be proficient at it and I'm not sure that I ever want to be!

But I do have a just about perfect 8½" block, finally.
