She's a great seamstress and does lovely handwork but the quilting stuff is new to her and I think the numbers and rulers and accuracy and all that is getting to her.
You're a good person to help her out - when I started quilting, it was a whole new world and
everything was confusing. Nobody I know quilts, so this board became like my quilting guild. You'll be a wonderful help to her.
Hope your thrift store buy works out great for you - it looks like a perfect backing fabric.
