I have made several of the dog-bone shaped pillows and put one of appropriate size on my lap to prop my ipad. When I get sleepy, the pillow is right handy to prop on my shoulder, too!
Stuff those pretty tight so they hold their shape. I used polyfill and those can be put through the laundry or a person can make a case if you think that would work better for you.
