The center of my Spinning Cabins came back from MSQC last week and I am so happy with the quilting! The design is called Brocade Fans and I had them use gold thread to make the quilting stand out - they did a wonderful job. My quilting will never compare with theirs, but I'm hoping it'll be good enough.
I'll sew on 1" light borders, then 1" red borders, then serge at the edge of the red border to apply the backing and large borders. I'm going to have to trim the lower corners so that they won't drag on the floor - maybe just a 45° diagonal.
