Well I decided to try the quilt as you go technique on a lap quilt I was making for my mother in law.

The blocks worked up quick and easy. And the rows were OK, but when I assembled the first two rows together, I just did not like.

I did not like the way the quilt laid. It just did not sit on the lap like a quilt. So, after a primal scream and in utter frustation, I started ripping out last night.

I guess I am too much a tradionalist. I think the method works well for a wall hanging, but for a lap quilt it just is not comfy.

Back to the darwing board!!
